Meet the Founder: Moumita Roy

 

Moumita has been a mother to dogs and cats all her life. Growing up surrounded by animals, she developed a deep, unbreakable bond with them—one that has shaped her life's mission. Today, alongside her husband, Ashish, she dedicates every moment to making Animal Lives Matter through her three heart-driven initiatives:

🐾 Mother of Strays (MOS): A movement that has reached millions of street animals, ensuring they receive nutritious, balanced meals. MOS is India’s only brand dedicated to affordable and healthy food for strays, making it easier for people to care for them.

🐾 Pookies for Pets: Educating and empowering pet parents across the country with the right nutrition, products and knowledge for their beloved companions. Through Pookies, thousands of dogs and cats now live healthier, happier lives.

🐾 Animal Tree: A sanctuary in the making, where 100 rescued dogs and cats find love, safety, and lifelong care. Beyond this, Animal Tree feeds 300+ street dogs daily and provides critical medical aid, vaccinations, and life-saving surgeries.

Moumita and Ashish are proud parents to over 100 rescued cats and dogs, and their journey is just getting started. Their dream? To embrace the entire animal kingdom in their arms—one life, one paw, and one wagging tail at a time.
